Man and Computer

　　Recently, with the advancement of technology, there is a heated discussion concerning the relationship between man and computer. It is no denying that computer has become indispensable for modern lives, however, on emphasizing the surprising significance of computer, we should keep a clear fact in minds that computer is only an instrument for human to deal with affairs in various fields.

　　Can man be controlled by computers? The answer is no, without a doubt. Although it works much more precisely and faster than man, a fact is undeniable that computer is designed, programmed and manufactured by man. Of course, science fictions and films have made up many fascinating stories about computers, or even robots, such as transformers, who conquer man and the earth, even the whole universe. However, they are only unrealistic imagination.

　　The future for the computer is undoubtedly bright. With the help of it, we can do things that could not be done before. Discovering new things, conquering the universe, explaining mysterious phenomena puzzling us at present are all made possible by computer. However, just as an old proverb says, a horse helps man a lot runs much faster than he, but it is only a slave; therefore, computer is just a tool for man, and it never conquers or replaces humankind.
