　　本句由两个分句构成，第一个分句的主干是...scores... helped explain...，其中who got in为宾语从句，充当explain的宾语;第二个分句的主干是degrees...didn’t，省略了谓语help。

　　get in在句中意为“被录取;进入”。如：
