　　问题一：自我介绍

　　可以着重强调你的个性对你报考的专业有何积极的作用。

　　这里给出描述个人品质常用词汇的中英文对照：

　　able有才干的，能干的 adaptable适应性强的 active主动的，活跃的

　　aggressive有进取心的 ambitious有雄心壮志的 amiable和蔼可亲的

　　amicable友好的 analytical善于分析的 apprehensive有理解力的

　　问题二：研究生教育的核心——能力or知识

　　关键点：

　　Education is something left after you have forgotten you have learned.

　　　能力——

　　(一)研究生阶段所学不实用，工作后需要掌握新知识，所以研究生阶段学习能力的提升是关键。

　　What you have learned during postgraduate period is not practical and you have to grasp new knowledge, so the capacity to improve is more important than knowledge itself.

　　(二)研究生阶段除了学习，学生更多地接触到专业领域的高端人士，扩展视野，这将是他们未来的很重要的平台或资源，这些都不是知识，而更多地是一种交际能力。

　　Besides academic learning, students will be more exposed to the elite of their field and broaden their visions. All of these will provide vital platform or resources for their future. However, these are not knowledge, but more of the ability to communicate.

　　(一)对于很多学生而言，研究生学习只是他们教育的一个阶段，考博才是最终目标，所以，研究生阶段学好专业知识很重要。

　　To most students, the postgraduate education is just one period of one’s learning. To pursue doctorate certificate is their final aim. So, it is important to learn their major well.

　　(二)知识的积累是能力提高的前提。所以必须重视研究生阶段理论知识的学习。

　　The accumulation of knowledge is the basis of the improvement of their capacity. So, pay more attention to their theoretical knowledge

　　(三)积累了足够的知识才能毕业，毕业对于未来就业非常重要。

　　Without enough knowledge, one cannot get his diploma. Graduation is very important for one’s future work.

　　问题三：未来规划

　　关键点：(一)打好理论基础

　　(二)积累工作经验

　　I’ve already made a plan for my postgraduate study. If luckily I got the admission to the …university, I would make good use of the two/three years. You know, the two/three years is very short for an aspirant pursuer for knowledge, so it’s necessary to make a good plan both for my academic research and future career. First, I will try my best to grasp the theoretical knowledge and set the solid foundation for my further study. Second, if time permits, I will do some part-time job relevant to my major and in this way I can put the theory into practice. Third, I will apply for a doctor degree if impossible.

　　问题四：考研的原因及专业选择原因

　　关键点：以下建议：老师不愿听到的回答

　　(一)原来专业不好就业

　　(二)考公务员

　　(三)此专业容易，好学

　　(四)为了有机会有户口

　　(五)父母的意愿

　　老师希望听到的回答

　　(一)真的喜欢自己的专业(举自己专业学以致用的例子;大三实习时发现自己本科所学知识欠缺，想在......这方面继续深造)

　　(二)从小就有熏陶和氛围，使我觉得自己为这种专业(例如教育，会计，医学等)而生，补充对专业认识。

　　(三)目标院校的吸引力，突出对自己目标院校的认知

　　问题五：介绍你的家乡(about hometown)

　　关键点：1.地理位置

　　2.特产/名人

　　3.名胜古迹

　　提问形式：

　　Where are you from?

　　How long have you lived there?

　　How do you like it? Why?

　　Do you live near here? where about?

　　Would you like to tell some stories about your hometown?

　　问题六：你的家庭(about family)

　　关键点：需要注意的是，考官并不是为了做人口调查而提出这个问题的，所以应该避免流水账似地介绍家庭成员;要尽量说明家人(尤其是父母)对你造成哪些方面(性格、职业规划、做事风格等)良好的影响。可以参考以下句式结构：Just like my father, I am especially interested in history. / Though my father is an ordinary worker, his responsible attitude towards work has a great influence on me.

　　问题七：你的大学(about university)

　　关键点：

　　如果是本校考生的话，在自我介绍中就可以点到(拉近跟考官的关系)。如果是外校，考官通常会问：Why did you choose our university? 那么我们就可以说说它与报考院校之间的异同，然后说明为什么你选择这个学校(I do love the atmosphere in your university. It is full of youthful spirits.);要注意的是：一定要说明你对在原来的院校接受教育心存感激之情appreciation(从好的方面说一说)，着重强调希望能被录取，表达自己坚定的决心、展望一下未来。

　　问题八：对英语的态度

　　关键点：

　　(一)兴趣是最好的老师

　　(二)语言工具，要会应用

　　(三)坚持不懈、克服困难学习

　　问题九： What is your greatest weakness/ strength?

　　关键点：

　　"What is your greatest weakness?"("你最大的弱点是什么?")

　　你不应该说你没有任何弱点，以此来回避这个问题;每个人都有弱点。最佳策略是承认你的弱点，但同时表明你在予以改进，并有克服弱点的计划。

　　"What is your greatest strength"?" ("你最突出的优点是什么?")

　　这是很多面试考官喜欢问的一个问题。这是你“展示自己”的最佳机会，不要吹嘘自己或过于自负，但要让考官知道你相信自己，你知道自己的优点。

　　可以着重强调你的个性对你报考的专业有何积极作用。如果报考学术型专业，可以说自己细心(carefully，detail-oriented)、条理分明(logical)、踏实(steady)等;如果是专业型、应用性更强一点的专业，可以说自己负责(responsible)、可靠(dependable)、有效率(efficient)等。

　　问题十： What would you like to be doing five years after graduation?

　　　关键点：体现和专业的相关性和对专业的帮助
