　　Within the next few hours, the ex-president of Ivory Coast, Laurent Gbagbo, will become the first former head of state to stand trial at the International Criminal Court in The Hague. Mr. Gbagbo is charged with war crimes and crimes against humanity, after his refusal to admit defeat to his rival, Alassane Ouattara, in elections in 2010.
