　　Directions：

　　Suppose that your friend’s birthday is coming. Write a letter in about 100 words to congratulate her. Do not sign your own name at the end of your letter, using “Li Ming” instead.

　　Dear Helen,

　　I remember all the time that your birthday is around the corner. I am sure all the friends and relatives are planning a grand birthday party and happy surprises for you. May I join them in wishing you a happy birthday?

　　How I wish I could stretch out my hand to shake with you, but you are so far away on the other side of the globe. Do you know how much I cherish our friendship during the past ten years, and how much I anticipate maintaining it for the years to come?
