　　Dear Editor(s),

　　I am writing to discuss the restrictions on the use of plastic bags. Though regulations have been passed to prohibit plastic bags, the result is dissatisfactory in some regions. “White pollution” is still going on. Some shops still provide plastic bags for free and many people would rather pay for the plastic bags. If this trend continues, the prohibition will be of little use in the long run.

　　In order to put an end to the sustainable trend, I firmly advocate the news media should draw more attention to the implementation of the prohibition policy. Furthermore, it can be useful and helpful to organize a writing competition about the issue. Last but not the least, publishing the name list of shops that violate the regulations may provide an effective way to curb the phenomenon.
