It Is Unwise to Jump to Conclusions

I once read a story, which always reminds me not to jump to conclusions, even though the matter is seen by your own eyes or heard by your own ears. I cannot remember the original story clearly, the content is about this:

In a remote mountain village, there lived a peasant family with a big dog to guard home. One day, the farmer wooded to the mountain, living his little son at home alone. After he returned home, the farmer discovered that the child was absent, so he anxiously looked for him everywhere. It was then the dog ran into the yard dangling the injured child who was constantly bleeding. Seeing that, the farmer was very angry and he killed the dog completely neglecting of the dog’s screams. It was until the child out of danger, to figure the fact out didn’t across the farmer’s mind. Following the blood, he walked to the outside of the village, where he found a wolf just died soon and a trace of desperate struggle. He understood all at once that it was the dog saved his son’s life. But it was too late, he killed his benefactor!

Isn’t it thought-provoking? The story tells us to define anything as what we assume or imagine at first sight is unwise. Only by serious thinking and accurate analyzing can we reach more rational and reasonable conclusions.
